Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has recorded another milestone as his Fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, hits the record for the longest charting African album of all time on the U.S Billboard.

The album released in 2020 has continued to receive repeated playbacks and lengthy playtime since it was released which has kept it on the billboard.

Made In Lagos has spent a total of 134 weeks on the United States Billboard which marks its 5 year presence on the chart without removal.

‘Made in Lagos’ scaled past legendary Fela Kuti’s album, the Best of Black President , Burna Boy, Ceekay, Tyla and Ayra Starr albums to stay glued to the position it is.

Also, Wizkid is recorded to be the only African artist with 2 albums on the chart.

His last Album, “Morayo” has spent a total of 19 weeks without dropping.

So far, the only African album that has come close to ‘Made In Lagos’ stay on the chart is ‘ Raves and Roses’ by Rema, which lasted a period of 84 weeks.

Wizkid is expected to receive a plaque to mark this achievement in coming days.
