A native of Agba-Ndele Community in Emohua Local Government Area, Theophilus Ndiamzi Amadi, allegedly assaulted his wife, causing her and injury to the head.
The incident occurred after she allegedly received N2,000 to participate in a rally organized by Pro-Wike women in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Reliable sources disclosed to Kristina Reports that Mr. Amadi is a civil servant working with the Rivers State Ministry of Education.
Sources told Kristina Reports that the man’s anger stemmed from his dissatisfaction with the former Governor of Rivers State, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, whom he felt did not employ or promote civil servants during his eight years tenure.
They further disclosed that he was further provoked when he recalled how the last N100,000 Christmas bonus, provided by Governor Siminialayi Fubara, was used to settle their house rent.
The Rivers State Police Command has yet to make a statement on the matter, with sources saying the matter may probably not have been officially reported to the Police for action.
Tension appears to be rising across the State as sentiments remain divided over the state of emergency declared in the State by President Bola Tinubu.
