“The Boy Who Gave” Screens At ARIFF ’25, Trailed by Triple Nominations

Bonny Island shot and produced movie, “The Boy Who Gave”, was screened at the just concluded African International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The event which took place in Lagos from November 2, to November 8, 2025, was witnessed by a wide number of guests and visitors who had come from far and near to witness this year’s edition of the event.

One of the highlights of the event was the screening of “The Body Who Gave”, a feature short film written and produced by Allison Emmanuel which was shot and produced in Bonny Island, Rivers State.
Speaking of the movie, the Chief Executive Officer of Grafton Entertainment, Tony Ibiama shared his thoughts after its screening.
“What an incredible moment sitting next to my little nephew, Mr. Precious Allison, as we celebrated “The Boy Who Gave” being nominated in three top most categories at the African International Film Festival: Best Performing Male Artiste, Best Director, and Best Feature Film.”
“While we didn’t take the stage, just being nominated among the 3 top best is victory. Reflecting on how the movie was put together in Bonny, it’s hard to believe how far we’ve come.”
“Glory be to God, Big up to the whole cast and crew, this is just the beginning. Precious E Allison is a star and watch out for the movie “The boy who gave” coming soon.”
“It’s another Grafton Entertainment project. Allison Precious Emmanuel.”

He also stated that while the movie was being screened at AFRIFF, there are plans of bringing the movie back home to its origin point which is Bonny Island to be screened.
“The Boy Who Gave” Is a masterpiece. I am so proud to be part of this Movie. It was screened yesterday at the African International film festival and it was wow.”
“All I can say is congratulations to us again and again.”
“Sometimes all you need is just believing. I will be planning a major exclusive screening in Bonny Soon. It will be a homecoming for this movie.”
