What I Will Do In My First 100 Days – LG Chairman Discloses; To Engage ‘Friends of Bonny’ on Development

Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Abinye Pepple has disclosed priorities for his first 100 days in office, asserting that his administration will soon engage corporate friends of Bonny with a view to inculcating them in its development strides.

Pepple made this disclosure on Saturday, September 6, 2025 during an inspection tour of different aspect of the LGA as part of the State-wide environmental sanitation exercise.

He stated that commencement of operations at the Bonny Fire Station, renovation of the National Union of Bonny Students (NUBS) Secretariat, and reconstruction of the Ogogo (Ghana Woman) Bridge, among others are key issues he poised to address within the first three months of assuming office.

He further informed that his administration will strategically engage friends of Bonny LGA such as Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) and others with a view to partnering with them on developmental initiatives including the reconstruction of the Ghana Woman Bridge.

He also announced plans to introduce monthly stipends for youths around the area tasked with cleaning the bridge to prevent blockages during the rainy season.

The Bonny LGA Boss was accompanied on the inspection tour by his Vice, Ibinyefagha Alabere, ex-Administrator of Bonny LGA, Kingsley Banigo, Secretary to the Bonny Local Government, Tamunotonye Jumbo, Director General of his Campaign Organization, Karibi Dan-Jumbo, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bonny LGA, Allswell Green, and Leader in Ward 5, Tammy Martins-Brown, among others.

Areas visited by the Chairman include strategic areas such as the SDP Bridge, Akiama Bridge, Ogogo Bridge (Ghana Woman), Bonny Main Market, Finima Cemetery, and major dumpsites, to assess compliance with the sanitation directive.

The Bonny LGA Numero Uno reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for all indigenes and residents of Bonny.

Knowledgeable sources have hinted Kristina Reports that Abinye Pepple, prior to his current role as Bonny LGA chief executive, has an entrenched reputation for sustainable environment advocacy and are confident that he would deploy his present office to give expression to this posture.
