The Amanyanabo Football Tournament is set to take center stage in Bonny Island, Rivers State, from Saturday, November 30, 2024, through Friday, December 13, 2024.

The highly anticipated event will be held at the Government School, Shell Road, and promises to produce exciting footballing action and fierce competition.

This year’s tournament will feature 16 teams, each vying for the coveted cup and a significant prize money. The teams will battle it out in a series of matches beginning with the group stage, which will be split into four groups of four teams.

The games will be played by 1pm and 4pm on each matchday, with the winners advancing to the quarter final of the competition, getting closer to glory.

The winner of the competition will receive a whopping sum of Three Million Naira, the runner up will receive a grand sum of Two Million Naira and the third place team will smile to the bank with a million naira.

The 2023 edition of the tournament saw Ibani FC defeat Young Talents FC 10-9 on penalties, after trailing by a goal to zero at the end of the first-half, the eventual champions fought back to tie the game, finishing one all in regulation time.

Group A – Defending Champions Ibani United, Adventurers FC, Atlantic FC, and Bright Stars FC.

Group B – Young Strikers FC, Beautiful Strikers FC, Genuine FC, and Base City FC.

Group C – New Saints FC, Flash Flamingos FC, Godbless United, and Unique FC.

Group D – Oloma FC, Divine FC, Bonny Starlets FC, and Runners Up Young Talents.
