The Bonny Graduates Forum (BGF) has commended the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Abinye Pepple for his decisive intervention in support of Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs).
President of BGF, Jude Pepple gave this commendation on Wednesday, 26 November 2025 during a One-Day Seminar with theme: “Different Abilities, One Vision” in Bonny, Rivers State.

He stated that the construction of a Centre for Persons Living with Disabilities and a monthly subvention of N1million signposts a major step towards confronting the challenges PLWDs face such as “limited access to education, minimal livelihood opportunities, and the struggle for inclusive participation”.
He described the government’s intervention as “a milestone that aligns directly with the purpose of today’s gathering”, stressing that “it reinforces our collective commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunity”.
In its efforts at cushioning the dire situation persons living disabilities face in society, the Bonny LGA Chairman had announced that his administration would construct a Centre for them in Bonny.

According to the Chairman, the Centre will serve as a hub for skill acquisition, training, and other forms of empowerment.
The BGF President asserted that “with this development, our focus becomes clearer. The question before us is: How do we ensure that this Centre becomes a place of true impact?”
“A place where men and women living with disability can acquire skills, build confidence, access training, and meaningfully participate in the economic and social life of our Kingdom.”
