Joyous momentum is gathering across Bonny Kingdom as the Halliday Major Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom presents its Chief and Head, Wari-Alabo Adienyesigha John Philip Halliday, to the Amanyanabo-in Council.

The installation and capping of Adienyesigha Halliday as Wari-Alabo (Chief and Head) of the Halliday House took place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Halliday Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The presentation, which is the next and final step in the chief making process, will be done by the elders of the House on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the King Perekule Palace, Bonny, Rivers State.

In line with the Bonny Kingdom constitution, the presentation of Wari-Alabo Halliday to His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Edward I, Perekule XI, completes the chief making process.

The Bonny Chiefs Council (BCC), which has King Pepple presiding over it as the Amanyanabo-in-Council, remains the ultimate custodian of Ibani customs and tradition.

The presentation avails the leadership and members of the Halliday Major Chieftaincy House the opportunity to present their Chief, who has already been installed and capped, to the Bonny Kingdom Monarch.

On the other hand, the Amanyanabo-in-Council leverages the opportunity to meet with the presented Chief, and induct him into the Bonny Chiefs Council where he will henceforth serve as a country chief (Se-Alabo) and alongside his colleague country chiefs assist the King to administer the Kingdom.

The ingressing Chief, Wari-Alabo Adienyesigha John Philip Halliday, a husband and father of three boys, ascends the ancient Awusa Halliday stool with proven antecedents in community leadership, political exposure, entrepreneurship, human and resources management, and strategic engagement in diverse fields of human endeavour.

With expectations at all time high that he will unleash his leadership potentials in moving the House to the next level, those who know hint Kristina Reports that he will not disappoint.

A large number of his kinsmen across chieftaincy houses in Bonny and various walks of life celebrate his elevation, saying that his induction is apt given the fact that young and fresh minds are now more than any other time in Bonny history needed in the Chiefs Council to steer Bonny Kingdom forward.
