Nigerian global superstar Burna Boy is making a bold entry into film production with his new movie, 3 Cold Dishes, a Pan-African revenge thriller set to hit UK cinemas on November 7, 2025.

The film, directed by Asurf Oluseyi and produced by Burna Boy, tells the story of three women, Fatouma, Esosa, and Giselle, who survive human trafficking, get separated, and reunite 16 years later to take revenge on those who wronged them.

Shot across Nigeria, Benin Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mauritania, 3 Cold Dishes highlights the realities of border trafficking, survival, and sisterhood.

The story connects Lagos and Abidjan, blending English, French, and Yoruba languages to reflect Africa’s cultural diversity.

The cast features Ivorian actress Fat Touré, Nigerian star Osas Ighodaro, and French-Ivorian performer Maud Guerard in lead roles, with Senegalese actress Amelie Mbaye as the narrator, Janice.

Veteran Nollywood actor Wale Ojo also appears as Esosa’s uncle, one of the key figures in the trafficking network.

The film uses a chapter-style narrative, moving through time and space with intense emotional depth and visual grit.

Its tone combines raw realism with supernatural touches, as the women transform from victims into fearless avengers.

Ahead of its release, 3 Cold Dishes premiered at Indigo at The O2 in London, drawing attention for its strong female characters and cinematic style inspired by global thrillers but rooted in African storytelling.

The film will be released in cinemas across Africa, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire, later in November.

For Burna Boy, 3 Cold Dishes marks a new creative milestone as he steps into film production, expanding his influence from global music to Pan-African cinema.

With its themes of sisterhood, survival, and revenge, 3 Cold Dishes is already one of the most anticipated African films of 2025, a story that promises to resonate deeply across continents.
