Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that With You, his hit collaboration with Omah Lay, almost did not make it to his latest album 5Ive.
Speaking in a recent interview on American News Television ABC, Davido said he had considered removing the track, which is the 17th and last song on the album.

“It almost didn’t make the album… Every time I remember I almost took it off the album, my heart starts beating,” he said.
The decision to keep the song has proven to be the right one, as it went on to become the biggest hit from 5Ive and one of the most successful Afrobeats songs of 2025.
“Shout out to Omah Lay.”
“I am glad we were able to collaborate on a true African classic,” Davido added.
The track has also been the highlight of Davido’s ongoing 5 Alive tour, drawing a rousing response when he performed it with Omah Lay at his sold-out concert at the Scotia Bank Arena in Canada.
Davido recently celebrated selling out 12 venues across North America, marking the milestone with a cake-cutting ceremony after his August 5 concert at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland, USA.
He briefly paused the tour to marry his long-term partner, Chioma Rowland, in a lavish Miami wedding attended by notable guests, including Africa’s richest man Alhaji Aliko Dangote, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
