The Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China, who is on a business and job creation trip to Akwa Ibom State, has urged Nigerian youths to embrace productivity through entrepreneurship.
Mr. China, regarded as one of Nigeria’s fastest growing real estate investors, also urged youths of Akwa Ibom State to take their destinies in their hands through productive lifestyle and essential entrepreneurship.

Mr. China is the Managing Director of the Construction & Housing Mayor Limited, the firm behind the upcoming Alesa Highland Smart City. He spoke in Uyo Sunday evening during the Livestreaming of his YouTube channel known as ‘MY-ACE CHINA’.
He said he was in Akwa Ibom State mainly to grace the commissioning of an entrepreneurship centre built in Mbo Local Government Area of the state as one of the biggest supporters of the project.
The Mayor of Housing said he was also in Akwa Ibom to host a Startup scheme for youths of the state.
During the Youtube session, a participant wanted to know about the dangers of debts and how to either avoid or come out of debts.
In his teaching, Mr China talked about types of debt such as ugly debts, bad debts, and good debts. He said money borrowed for business expansion is the right debt. He called money borrowed for consumption terrible debt, while money borrowed for emergency or to start a business is bad debt.
Explaining his mission later in an interview, Mr China said: “We are here to stimulate entrepreneurship, and this has to with two basic things: education and productivity. Even in the Youtube session we did, people saw that we could teach and we were able to tackle questions on those things that block productivity.
“Most people fail to produce not because they are lazy but because they do not know they can produce or they have some mountains that form blockers of productivity. Once that is cleared, you see that everybody’s productive ability shines.”
“So, we are here to promote that stimulation and to make sure that the real event we came for on Tuesday which is the Mbo Local Government Area development Centre is adequately popularized. We are also here to do Startup to the youth in Akwa Ibom State.”
“So, we have done these things this evening to make the people of the state aware of these programmes because productivity without education is stunted; education without productivity is useless.”

On the Youtube session held in Uyo, the Mayor of Housing said: “Every Sunday by 6pm, I have a livestream on my Youtube channel. After each teaching, I ask questions. The first 10 persons to answer those questions correctly walk home with N30,000 each.
We also have daily vidoes where best commenters N20,000. The highest winning commenter in each month wins one million naira. I had to come to Uyo because most of the people following me and commenting have not seen me face to face before, I decided to invite them over to this hotel and meet me face to face, and have dinner with me.
“It also gave them opportunity to ask questions and feel the reality of the sessions because they personally participated so it does not look doctored. The reason is the demography of Nigeria shows that 70 per cent are youths, and most youths do not do well not because they lacked capacity but because they lacked example. What we are doing today is provide them the inspiration of the example; which is me and my story.
“What I taught them today is practical experience I learnt myself from my story about struggling with debt and coming out of it.”
He said the young people that attended were expected to go back and try to implement it in their daily life. “We have the challenge of that programme to produce one millionaire every month, but it is not the one million naira that matters. but the education they embrace from the channel. This will make the videos clearer.
“By what we have done today, not only did the answers to their questions throw light on their grey areas but the fact that they saw face to face the man they want to emulate, made all the difference.”
The visit was termed ‘The Uyo Surprise” which led to the Real Estate Success Strategist meeting very important government and private sector leaders. Many loved his teaching on; ‘The Debt Trap’ and how to get out of debts.
He harped on the sorrow of debt and the dangers, taught the young people how to handle debt crisis saying; “Know it, your creditors do not want you dead; Be courageous enough to tell them you don’t know when to pay, if truly you don’t know; Have the courage to write down your debt and review it;”
“Have the courage to go below your station while you owe; Never be ashamed to pay little by little; and Rebuild your discipline, character, and integrity because they are at risk, even after you paid up”.
One of the industry leaders that attended the open streaming session, Chief Etting Afiakure, CEO of Ceedapeg Hotels, expressed overwhelming surprise and pleasure at the teaching and kind gestures of the Mayor of Housing and advised the young followers to invest every energy to learn from the master.
Another, Chief Daniel Udoh, who is the Akwa Ibom State chairman of the Hoteliers Association of Nigeria, Chancellor of the Coffee Club, and owner of Albert Suites Hotel, encouraged the Mayor of Housing to deepen his presence in Akwa Ibom State and strive to take many entrepreneurs higher on the ladder.
