FedPoly Bonny Rector, Management Felicitate With King Edward I At 60

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny in Rivers State, Victor Okolobah, alongside the management, staff and students of the institution have felicitated with the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of ancient Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Edward I, Perekule XI, as he celebrates his diamond jubilee birthday.

Dr Okolobah, accompanied by a former acting Rector of the institution, Ibifiri Pollyn, and other management staff, visited and presented the Bonny monarch with gifts during the grand reception in his honour at the King Perekule Palace in Bonny, Rivers State.

Speaking during the visit, the Rector told the King that the visit was as a result of his passion to see the Polytechnic succeed as enshrined in his five cardinal points agenda tagged “Team-C”, which is community integration, leading the Polytechnic into integration, collaboration and community service.

“The gesture is to further deepen the already existing cordial relationship between the kingdom and the institution.”

The occasion brought together people from different walks of life, diplomats, technocrats, business moguls and royalties from across the world,

The active involvement of the leadership of the Polytechnic in the diamond jubilee celebration of the revered traditional ruler served to further consolidate on the enduring relationship with the Kingdom that has so far been mutually beneficial.
