Tragedy struck in the early hours of Monday, February 3, 2025, when Ejike Egwundu, the Chief of Amiyi Ahaba Imenyi, was brutally murdered by two brothers, Chinedu Okechukwu and David Okechukwu known as Umu Akpakara, from Umunnekwu-agbo, also in Isuikwuato.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 10 pm on February 3, over a dispute related to drug dealings. The brothers allegedly attacked and killed Chief Ejima, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation in the community.
