Bonny Legislative Assembly Passes Vote of Confidence on LG Chairman, Commends her Exemplary Leadership  

February came with plaudits for the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Anengi Claude-Wilcox as the Bonny Legislative Assembly passed a vote of confidence on her.

Under the leadership of Erefaa Allaputa, the 10th Bonny Local Government Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 commended her exemplary leadership, while urging her to keep up the good work she has been doing.

The Assembly stated via a letter, which was addressed to her, dated Tuesday, February 4, 2025 and signed by the Clerk of the Assembly, Sopakate Jack that the decision was taken during its 13th plenary session presided over by its Leader, Erefagha Allaputa.

“VOTE OF CONFIDENCE: PASSED ON THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, BONNY LOCAL GOVERNMENT, DAME HON. ANENGI BARASUA CLAUDE-WILCOX, DSSRS, JP BY THE BONNY LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL, TENTH ASSEMBLY.

We are delighted to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt commendation for your exemplary leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to the development of Bonny Local Government Area.

The Bonny Local Government Legislative Council, Tenth Assembly, first section, during its Thirteenth Sitting held on Tuesday, 4th February, 2025, unanimously resolved to pass votes of confidence in your exceptional leadership qualities. This gesture is a testament to our profound admiration for your tireless efforts in transforming our dear Bonny Local Government Area.

Your impressive track record of achievements, marked by significant strides in human capital development, infrastructure, and peace and security, has earned you a special place in the hearts of the people of Bonny. Your selfless service, integrity, and dedication to duty have been a beacon of hope and inspiration to all.

We are particularly grateful for your visionary leadership, which has paved the way for numerous developmental projects, empowering our citizens and stimulating economic growth. Your passion for the welfare and well-being of our people is evident in every initiative you undertake.

The Bonny Legislative Assembly led by Erefagha Allaputa, who also represents Ward 6, since its proclamation 120 days ago has provided ongoing legislative support and oversight for the Executive arm of the Bonny Local Government led by Anengi Claude-Wilcox.

Today’s vote of confidence reinforces the agelong working template between the three arms of government in Bonny LGA to which political pundits have attributed the seamless delivery of evidence based governance in the area.
