Hope Rises for Ailing Residents as Diriwari Tobin Foundation Performs Free Surgeries in Bonny Island

Glimmers of hope seems in the horizon for residents with ailments that require surgeries as the Diriwari Tobin Foundation (DTF) holds a two-day Free Surgical Outreach in Bonny, Rivers State.
The outreach, which venue is the Zonal Hospital opposite the Bonny Integrated Recruitment Centre (BIRC) along the Hospital Road in Bonny will hold Friday to Saturday, December 27 and 28, 2024 between 8am and 4pm each day.
In a telephone chat with Kristina Reports, Secretary of the DTF, Maxwell Tobin, who is also the Director of the DTF Medical Outreach Programme, said the outreach aims at sustaining the legacy of the family’s patriarch, late Gentle Diriwari Tobin.
He stated that Includes free fibroid surgeries only, free laboratory testing, adding that patient screening and selection started from Friday, November 1 to Saturday, December 1, 2024 at the Primary Health Centres in Finima and Bonny.
He stressed that the effort is borne out of empathy for the ailing and less privileged who may not be able to afford the surgeries they need to restore their health, would perform these surgeries.
He further informed that medical outreach is organized by the Diriwari Tobin Foundation in conjunction with doctors from the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), calling on residents to take advantage of the opportunity.
