Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, now know their path to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, after the official draw in Switzerland!
The four-time African champions will face France, Germany, Korea, Colombia, and the Philippines in Lyon-Villeurbanne, France, from March 11–17, 2026, the final qualifying round for a ticket to Berlin 2026.

Other qualifier host cities include Wuhan (China), San Juan (Puerto Rico), and Istanbul (Türkiye).
D’Tigress will be looking to extend their dominance beyond Africa and secure another World Cup appearance, reaffirming their status as the only African team to ever reach the quarter-finals of both the FIBA World Cup and the Olympic Games.
