Nollywood star Regina Daniels has broken down in tears over the arrest and detention of her brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, as police and court developments deepen the rift between her and billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
The FCT Police Command confirmed that Sammy West was arrested in Lagos and transferred to Abuja following a petition alleging conspiracy, assault, theft, and cyber-bullying.

He was arraigned in court on November 6, 2025, and remanded the fulfillment of bail conditions.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh said:
“The arrest followed a valid warrant after several invitations were ignored.”
“The Command acted strictly according to the law.”
Reacting emotionally on social media, Regina described her brother’s detention as “heart-wrenching and unjust,” adding that she felt trapped in a situation beyond her control.
In one of her videos, the actress cried:
“I feel like I’m losing my mind. I’ll go… I’ll go back if that’s what it takes.”
Her statement has stirred speculation that she may be considering reuniting with her estranged husband to ease family tensions and seek her brother’s freedom.
However, police sources insist the matter is purely legal, not domestic or political.
“No one is above the law.”
“The case will be determined by the court,” a senior officer added.
As of press time, Sammy West remains in custody, and Regina’s legal team is reportedly working toward meeting the bail requirements.
The case continues to draw wide public attention, exposing the delicate balance between celebrity life, family loyalty, and justice in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
