The Grammys 2026: Nigerian Afrobeat Stars Makes Nomination List

Top Nigerian Afrobeats stars, have successful made it to the nomination list for the 2026 Grammys Awards.
The highest music honour on Friday, November 7 2025, released her nomination list for the 68th edition of the Grammys Awards which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The nomination list covers songs from different genres which were released between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025.
Following the release of the list, Nigeria musical icons such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and Davido were nominated for categories of the award.
Davido ft Omah Lay (With You), Arya Starr ft Wizkid (Gimme Dat), and Burna Boy (Love) were all nominated for the Best African Music Performance category alongside South African Tyler and Ugandian Eddy Kenzo.
Burna Boy however, is the only African with the highest number of nominations in the 2026 Grammys Awards, Best African Music Performance for “Love” and Best Global Music Album for “No Sign of Weakness,”
The award is to be held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, United States.
