BREAKING! Nigeria’s Ex-President, Muhammadu Buhari is Dead

A former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has died in a hospital in London, United Kingdom, according to his family.

This was disclosed on Sunday, July 13, 2025 via a terse statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

“The family has announced the passing of the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon, in a clinic in London.”  

“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”  

Prior to his emergence as President of Nigeria, the deceased rose through the ranks to become a Major General in the Nigerian Army.

The statement did not provide details of his funeral rites but it is expected that he would be flown back to Nigeria this night to be buried according to Islamic rites before sunset on Monday, July 14, 2025.
