The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Danladi Isa, has warned active officers of the police force under his command against being involved in unprofessional acts and activities that would taint the name of the force.
This note of warning was issued on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, during a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers, Tactical Team Commanders and Departmental Heads of the Command.

The meeting which focused on the recent directives from the Inspector General of Police, also served as a means for Danladi to reinstate the core values of the police force into active serving members of the force.
In his words “Involvement in civil matters, Acts of unprofessionalism and extortion, Improper dressing while on duty, Over-detention of suspects in non-felonious cases, Poor documentation of complaints and reports, Posting faces of crime suspects on social media, Unauthorized transfers of officers on one-year attachment, misconduct and Acts of impunity.” are not acceptable in the force.
“Overt and Covert Operational strategies were emplaced to ensure the safety of the state, protection of officers, and security of firearms.”
He overempasized that such actions project the police force in bad light and are capable of ruining the reputation of the force, driving it to loose credibility before members of the public.
Danladi Isa also directed that there must be no loss of personnel or arms, and stressed that preliminary investigations into community-reported cases must be properly handled before transferring such cases to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.

Additionally, it was mentioned during the briefing that the enforcement of tinted glass permits commences on Thursday, September 2, 2025 and encouraged officers to carry out their duties diligently with every level of professionalism.
While concluding, the officers were thanked for their act and dedication to service as they were encouraged to keep being good examples to members of the public which should be demonstrated through proper conduct.
Officers were also reminded to make early preparations for retirement and ensure they stay healthy while they grow in all ramifications of the profession. He commended officers for their efforts so far and urged them to keep the flag flying.
